Three Poems by Felino A. Soriano

from Quintet Dialogues: translating introspection

Of trumpet

┼1┼

spoken glass this dancing
angled area
broken
gregarious aspects                    wholeness now more whole
dedicated showering shine
scraped but bountiful
beautiful language of shards
detecting multiple

insinuation

calibrating balanced sighted versions of
fractioned momentum of sight

┼2┼

watch

as the many leave their elongated fingers’
incorporated identities
softened by the years’ pivoting meaning turning
toward the introverted message of self and the ongoing
dimension

                                   against (as with struggling bodies)
                                   angles
                                                        and perception’s
fragility
these philosophies and augmentations of thought’s

organic impulsive causation

┼3┼

prior emblems lost in the language|s of rain

                    soft
silk
silver-silk mimesis                   of the elder woman’s curls
mimicking shadow’s transparent realness                :                       alone

temporal advances mislead
forgotten indentations of stopped spatial               collisions
awaiting identifiable
physiognomy yet/not

the fraction of whole adulthood
hankering return of the tail of an echo’s
kaleidoscopic truancy
